Job Summary
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum following Montessori pedagogy while planning engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Lead innovative learning activities that foster children's growth, ensure their safety and well-being, and monitor individual progress and development. Assess and document student progress to track development milestones. Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day. Prioritize strong communication with parents and staff, demonstrating patience, collaboration, and creativity in early childhood education.
Required Qualifications
- willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
- Prior experience with the assigned age group
- Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education
