Job Summary
Lead age-appropriate curriculum development and implement Montessori pedagogy to promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Plan engaging activities, monitor student progress, and document development outcomes. Ensure the safety and well-being of children while fostering a harmonious environment for students and staff. Interact with parents and collaborate with fellow teachers to support learning. Requires 2-5 years of experience in a certified child development center, an Associates Degree or CDA certification, and strong communication skills. Competitive hourly pay of $18.00-$20.00 with childcare tuition discounts and relocation options available.
Required Qualifications
- willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
- Prior experience with the assigned age group
- Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education
