Job Summary
Lead age-appropriate curriculum and implement Montessori pedagogy while planning engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Monitor student progress, document development milestones, and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Create a harmonious learning environment where students and staff thrive. Requires 2-5 years of experience in a certified child development center, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong communication skills for interacting with parents and staff. Competitive pay of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour with childcare tuition discounts and career development programs.
Required Qualifications
- willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
- Prior experience with the assigned age group
- Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education
