Job Summary
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum following Montessori pedagogy, planning engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Lead innovative learning activities while monitoring student progress and documenting development to assess individual growth. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, creating a harmonious environment where students and fellow teachers thrive. Assess and document student progress regularly to track development against assigned age group standards. This role requires experience in a Montessori teaching environment and adherence to state standards and accreditation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
- Prior experience with the assigned age group
- Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education
