Job Summary
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum following Montessori pedagogy to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Plan engaging learning activities and assess student progress while ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times. Create a harmonious environment where students and fellow teachers thrive. Monitor individual development and document progress for each child. Lead innovative learning activities that foster growth in a supportive setting. Requires 2-5 years of experience in a certified child development center and familiarity with the assigned age group.
Required Qualifications
- a willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years prior experience working in a certified child development center
- Prior experience with the assigned age group
- Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education
