Job Summary
Lead the primary design for High Voltage Substations, including general layout, sections, HV cable routing, and civil work. Develop equipment bills of quantities, conduct earthing calculations, and select components such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers. Collaborate with Protection, Control & Automation, Civil, Structural, and MEP engineers to ensure system integration and compliance with updated regulations. Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, clients, and third-party stakeholders. Manage engineering subcontractors, initiate procurement, and oversee design reviews and gate processes. This remote role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with at least three years of experience in project and EPC environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college from Mechanical/Electrical or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in the related activity/discipline in project & EPC type environment / HV substations and energy sector
- Up to 20% travel within MEA & Europe along with other countries/regions for short or medium period based on requirement
- Strong oral and written in English
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Project organization and engineering processes related to his/her scope of activity
- Experience with AutoCAD software
- Revit, BIM360 and ACC is a plus
- Experience in technical problem solving
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
