Job Summary
Lead engaging lessons and activities including storytelling, music, arts, and discovery play to promote whole-child development. Foster a nurturing classroom culture where children feel loved, valued, and supported while modeling positive behavior and guiding routines. Adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of each child and partner with families to ensure smooth daily transitions and open communication. Promote healthy habits like hygiene, nutrition, and self-care. This role requires a high school diploma, HHS and DFPS caregiver qualifications, and previous teaching or childcare experience. The position involves an active classroom environment with physical demands of lifting up to 40 lbs and maintaining clear supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meets HHS and DFPS caregiver qualifications (age, background check, medical clearance, annual training)
- Valid driver's license (if transporting children)
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs as needed
- Maintain clear visual and auditory supervision of children
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching or childcare experience
- Early Childhood Education coursework or certification
- Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
