Job Summary
Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to children ages 3–5 during large and small group activities while applying educational curriculum to the classroom. Lead supporting staff and foster positive relationships with all children and families through age-appropriate discipline and open communication. Maintain respect for the child and demonstrate caring, honesty, and responsibility to staff, lay leaders, YMCA members, program participants, and the community. Apply knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations to organize and execute age-appropriate activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification
- Possess a cooperative spirit committed to character development by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to staff, lay leaders, YMCA members, program participants and the community
- Ability to lead a classroom and staff
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations
- Skilled in organizing and executing age-appropriate activities for children
- Current Early Childhood Professional credential level III version 2.0 as determined by the Colorado Department of Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- B.A. in early childhood education
- B.A. in elementary education
- B.A. in special education
- Colorado Director Qualified
