Job Summary
Lead Pre K-8 Cook responsible for planning and preparing breakfast and/or lunch menus, maintaining health/USDA standards, managing kitchen operations, inventory, and daily records to support nutritious, appealing meals for students. Requires ability to read/interpret recipes, follow standardized procedures, supervise semi-skilled staff, communicate clearly, work efficiently during lunch periods, and promote a positive, service-oriented environment in the school cafeteria. Must have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of related experience, and Level II Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Schedule is M-F, 7:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. for a 10-month term; salary range $19.37–$21.45 per hour, classified part-time, non-exempt.
