Job Summary
Lead Platform Reliability Engineer responsible for managing AKS, Azure PaaS, and CI/CD pipelines within a 24/7 platform services context. Acts as SME for internal clients, drives platform roadmaps, and champions standards around platform management, security, and compliance. Leads KPI development and optimizes product performance to maximize business value. Collaborates with stakeholders and vendors to plan platform evolutions, upgrades, and feature enhancements; ownership of customer issues from inception to resolution in a multi-vendor environment. Role requires strong Azure experience, ability to guide platform strategy in a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and effective leadership as an individual contributor at the director level.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years industry experience
- At least 5+ years with Azure hands-on experience
- Deep experience with Azure architecture, AKS/IAAS/PAAS/CICD pipeline ecosystem
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps (CI/CD, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Helm, Flux)
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial models
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- University degree (Computer Science or related discipline) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in large multinational organization; insurance/financial services preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Azure certification(s) highly preferred
