Job Summary
Lead Platform Engineer to design and develop the next-generation Trading Risk Warehouse platform and a scalable PnL reporting system used by Risk Analysts, Front Office Traders, and Executives. You will build and maintain a high-performing platform ensuring stability, reliability, security, and scalability; manage underlying infrastructure and multiple environments (Prod/Pre-Prod/Lower); streamline code promotion and improve developer productivity; optimize for performance and address bottlenecks; automate workflows and drive engineering transformation; collaborate with development and production operations teams to troubleshoot and enhance the platform; leverage technologies including Unix shell scripting, Python, Linux, Hadoop (HDFS, Spark, Hive), Kafka, SQL, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD tooling. Strong emphasis on automation, monitoring, and cross-team collaboration; 8+ years of relevant experience; experience with large-scale, low-latency systems and cloud capabilities is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in managing and supporting large scale and mission critical platform
- Experience in large scale platform migration initiatives
- 8+ years of Linux system administration
- Experience managing Hadoop ecosystem including HDFS, Spark and Hive
- 6+ years of experience with Git, CI/CD toolset (Maven), Jenkins, and Agile environments
- Experience with Kafka and messaging technologies
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with RDBMS; Cassandra preferred
- Hands-on experience with market risk and/or PnL reporting (nice to have)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
