Job Summary
The Lead Platform Engineer will maintain and optimize IBM z/OS mainframe environments, supporting core applications and ensuring the system performance, security, and reliability. Responsibilities include maintaining and supporting IBM mainframe systems, developing and deploying JCL scripts and REXX programs, collaborating with various teams for seamless implementation, automating routine tasks to enhance operational efficiency, and participating in disaster recovery planning. Required qualifications include experience in mainframe systems, proficiency in z/OS, knowledge in mainframe networking and performance monitoring, and strong problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in mainframe systems engineering, system programming, or operations
- Proficiency in z/OS and BCP components
- Knowledge of JCL, RACF, MQ, DB2, CICS, IODF panels, mainframe networking, HMC panels
- Knowledge in mainframe performance monitoring
- Experience with mainframe monitoring tools (e.g., MainView or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
