Job Summary
DTCC is seeking a qualified Mainframe Engineer to maintain and optimize IBM z/OS environments supporting core applications. This position requires experience with mainframe systems, including CICS, MQ, JES2, and performance monitoring. The role involves developing and deploying JCL scripts, automation of routine tasks, and providing support for production issues. Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of security compliance and disaster recovery planning. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be 1-2 years post-college graduate with at least 6 months- 1 year work experience.
- Candidates must be intermediate with the valuable skills listed below.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mainframe systems engineering, system programming, or operations
- Proficiency in z/OS and BCP components
- Knowledge of JCL, RACF, MQ, DB2, CICS, IODF panels, mainframe networking, HMC panels
- Knowledge in mainframe performance monitoring
- Experience with mainframe monitoring tools (e.g., MainView or equivalent)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- An analytical and curious approach

- Experience in observability metrics and analysis
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must hold a degree within Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, MIS or Business & Technology Management or any other equivalent specialization or related technical field.
