Lead Plant Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct advanced maintenance, preventive maintenance, and fabrication welding on stationary systems including conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes to minimize downtime. Lead projects to implement broad-scale plant maintenance initiatives while evaluating equipment for improved availability and yield. Perform MSHA pre-shift safety inspections, prioritize backlog reviews, and maintain detailed records in technological systems. Operate cranes, man-lifts, and specialty tools to repair, replace, and fabricate processing equipment. Train and coach technicians on best practices, partner with vendors for procurement, and develop reports on plant capacity and yield. Report maintenance themes and trends to leadership to support regulatory standards and production objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Required to bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
- Must be able to maintain three points of contact when climbing on/off machinery or on ladders.
- Strong hand-eye-foot coordination is essential.
- Must have good depth perception with or without seeing aid for distances up to 150 feet.
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs.
- MSHA compliance and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of related experience in Heavy-Duty or Aggregate Plant Maintenance preferred.
