Job Summary
Lead Pipeline Engineer role based in multiple U.S. offices (Tampa, FL; Kansas City, MO; Detroit, MI; East Chicago, IN; Houston, TX) to design and deliver pipeline systems across lifecycle (planning, FEED, routing, permitting, detail design, procurement, construction, deactivation). Responsibilities include field and office work, interdisciplinary collaboration, stress analysis, routing studies, right-of-way support, cost estimates, client coordination, and development of permit documents. Requires strong communication, safety focus, ABET-accredited engineering degree, 7–10 years in pipeline design, EIT (PE preferred), and familiarity with relevant codes (49 CFR Parts 192/195, ASME B31.4/B31.8, AWWA M11) and software (Pipeline Toolbox, AutoPIPE/CAESAR II, PipeFLO, AFT Impulse); travel up to 25%; ability to manage projects and work with clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 7-10 years pipeline design experience
- EIT minimum; PE preferred
- Knowledge of relevant codes and software
