Job Summary
Lead Piercer responsible for overseeing Mejuri’s piercing studio operations across locations, delivering high-quality piercing services, ensuring safety and hygiene, building a strong local clientele, mentoring team members, managing schedule and inventory, and promoting Mejuri’s piercing products and services. The role emphasizes customer journey management from greeting to aftercare, maintaining studio cleanliness, compliance with local laws, and staying current on labret sizing, materials, and metals. Flexible for either part-time or full-time opportunities across markets; base pay ranges provided.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience with needle piercing
- Experience with threadless jewellery
- Up-to-date with First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA Certifications
- Experience with an autoclave or statim
- Registrable with local law enforcement or meet area permits requirements (e.g., Practitioner Registration, Blood-borne Pathogens, First Aid/CPR, Vaccination requirements)
- Understanding of local market piercing law requirements
- Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols surrounding piercing procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
