Job Summary
Lead Physician – Urgent Care at ConvenientMD in New England. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care with MD/DO credentials and an active, unrestricted medical license. Serves as clinical leader and supervising physician, mentoring APPs, guiding patient care, and ensuring compliance and documentation standards. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, diagnosing and managing acute illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing urgent care procedures (e.g., wound repair, incision and drainage, splinting, joint injections), prescribing treatments, and promoting high-quality, patient-centered care. Leads clinical operations, participates in chart review and quality assurance, mentors new and experienced APPs, and maintains HIPAA/OSHA adherence and up-to-date regulatory knowledge. Strong leadership, teamwork, mentorship, and proficiency with EMR and clinical management systems are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified by ABEM/ABFM/ABIM or other relevant specialty board
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- Eligible and willing to serve as a Registered Supervising Physician in accordance with state requirements
- Active, unrestricted DEA registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
