Job Summary
Lead Physician Assistant (PA) in an urgent care clinic, serving as a clinical leader and mentor to staff. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments and exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, performing procedures (injections, immunizations, wound care), educating patients, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance. Collaborates with providers and health care practitioners to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care; acts as a preceptor and supports new-grad providers; engages in continuing education and professional development; emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and certification by Physician Assistant (PA) certifying body
- DEA license with no restrictions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS (not CPR, ACLS online)
- Relevant clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care (preferred)
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
- Excellent teamwork and communication
- Technically proficient with EMR and office software
- Knowledge of HIPAA/OSHA regulations and clinical practice guidelines
