Job Summary
Develop backend features, maintain scalable APIs, and ensure test coverage using PHPUnit while adhering to secure coding practices. Lead technical discussions, review requirements, and guide implementation by breaking down projects into manageable tasks. Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams to ship tested solutions that meet business needs. Participate in rotating on-call schedules to monitor systems and respond to issues. Contribute to code reviews, document architecture, and suggest technical enhancements to continuously improve processes.
Required Qualifications
- Laravel-only experience is not qualifying — proven Symfony experience is mandatory
- 5+ years of experience working with PHP
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Symfony
- 2+ years writing unit tests with PHPUnit
- Excellent communication skills in cross-functional teams
- Strong experience with MongoDB
- Strong experience with Design Patterns (Object Oriented)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and/or TypeScript
- Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline workflows
