Job Summary
Lead Person to oversee management of electrical project installations, alterations, additions, and repairs in commercial/industrial settings. Responsibilities include running medium to large-size projects, supervising a 25+ person crew, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and safety standards, resolving on-site conflicts, coordinating field installations and project close-outs, reviewing documents and estimates, and maintaining staffing, equipment, and training requirements. Collaborative interaction with owners, architects, engineers, trade contractors, and corporate services is expected, along with maintaining compliance with licensing and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate, GED, or equivalent
- Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program
- Six years (12,000 hours) or more of experience
- Ability to supervise and direct field personnel, typically 25+ employees
- On-site management and safety of assigned construction projects
- Adherence to budget, time, and quality standards
- Conflict resolution related to construction activities and personnel issues
- Coordinate field installations and project close-outs
- Review project documents, plans, and specifications
- Complete basic paperwork (foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase order logs, time cards)
- Manage resources (tools, equipment, staffing) within the crew
- Read and understand estimates with project management/superintendent
- Interact with owners, owner representatives, architects, engineers, and vendors
- Maintain required licensing and training requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
