Job Summary
Lead Pastry Chef assisting Head Chef to guide the Pastry team, maintain high-quality pastry output, and develop new ideas for production. Responsibilities include stock control and purchasing for the pastry section, wastage management, proper storage and stock rotation, training kitchen staff for efficiency and safety, and engaging with customers to obtain feedback. Requires prior pastry chef experience in a busy kitchen, leadership experience, Food Safety Level 2 and allergen certification, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a club/hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Pastry Chef in a busy kitchen environment
- Experience of leading a team
- Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen Certificate
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Organised and able to work under pressure
