Job Summary
Lead Painter role within AV's Operations department is a full-time senior-position leading the paint team, ensuring safety, coordinating with the Paint Supervisor to meet the production schedule, and overseeing material requirements, vendor coordination, and inventory controls. The role requires extensive experience in industrial painting, familiarity with coatings and paint systems, ability to read drawings and specifications, and leadership to develop other associates. Preferred qualifications include NACE/CIP certifications and ASME-related experience; must pass pre-employment physical and background check and be legally authorized to work in the US.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in industrial manufacturing painting, pressure vessels is a plus
- Familiarity with Plasite 4110 and similar products strongly preferred
- Media blasting experience and surface profile knowledge
- Exposure to ASME code pressure vessel fabrication preferred
- Ability to read drawings, manufacturer specifications, and instructions as it relates to paint products
- Experience with operating plural paint systems strongly preferred
- NACE Level I / II or CIP Level I certification strongly preferred
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
