Job Summary
Supervise employees using machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. Ensure EHS & Q compliance while operating complex systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines. Oversee a small (< 5) team of direct & indirect hire operations personnel performing routine work. Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area. Contribute data and information to production plans, run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information. Help to install complex systems, implement procedures, and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in STEM field
- High School Diploma with 5 years' experience or more in a manufacturing
- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
- 1-2 years' experience of coordinating the work of others
- Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives while providing technical guidance as needed
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to express ideas, request actions, develop plans, and create or review concise, effective reports
- Ability to develop and execute appropriate plans and actions based on business recommendations, requirements, and organizational needs
- Ability to manage safe work systems and develop, monitor, and interpret policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational strategies and objectives
