Job Summary
Lead Officer for Campus Maintenance and Operation Planning responsible for planning and scheduling all resources for maintenance activities using CMMS, building a weekly integrated schedule, reviewing work requests for clarity, updating Job Plans and preventive maintenance levels, coordinating vendor services, and securing parts. The role requires evaluating costs for labor, parts, and contractor services; leading weekly scheduling meetings with stakeholders; ensuring availability of equipment and critical spares; managing inventory levels; tracking performance metrics and KPIs; and proposing improvements to maintenance programs to reduce costs and improve response times. Requires post-secondary training or equivalent experience in building systems/envelope, minimum 5 years in maintenance, CMMS expertise, strong communication and leadership, and bilingual French/English is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance (building systems or building envelop environment preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of building systems (mechanical, plumbing, electrical or instrumentation) or building envelop (carpentry, locksmithing and disaster restoration) normally acquired through post-secondary training or equivalent experience
- Experience in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and leadership skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated, results oriented and able to work under pressure
- Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written) is an asset
