Job Summary
Lead Occupational Therapist (OTR) in Yonkers, NY, responsible for aiding the coordinator in developing and implementing the school Occupational Therapy Program, providing individual or small group therapy, conducting developmental screenings across perceptual-motor, ADL, prevocational, musculoskeletal, sensory and sensorimotor domains, determining treatment priorities and scheduling, preparing progress reports, maintaining student records including IEP information, supervising OT personnel and cooperating with classroom staff and parents to implement therapeutic activities, ensuring compliance with IEP mandates, and representing the agency as assigned. Requires a master’s degree in occupational therapy and NY state license, at least 3 years of OT experience, and strong collaboration with clinical teams and school personnel; Microsoft Office proficiency assumed. The role is full-time and on-site at Yonkers, NY locations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in occupational therapy
- New York State Licensed Registered Occupational Therapist
- minimum of three years OT experience
- experience with children with special needs
- IEP experience or knowledge
- ability to supervise OTAs and COTAs
- strong documentation and reporting skills
- computer skills including Microsoft Office
