Job Summary
Lead daily kitchen and Café operations by communicating proactively with staff and leadership to ensure task assignments are completed and production deadlines are met. Manage staff shortages, coach employees, and document conversations while holding team members accountable for performance and training. Oversee room service lines for tray accuracy, food quality, and temperature compliance, and validate that all food storage and service areas meet regulatory requirements. Complete temperature logs, manage accurate cash handling, and monitor waste logs. Implement workflow improvements and maintain daily POS and menu board accuracy. Stand on feet for seven hours daily and lift up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' food service experience in lieu of education
- Current and original ANSI-accredited food handler certificate recognized by the EHD in accordance with Arizona State Ordinance requirement
- Other Arizona County food handler cards (valid until expiration)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage/lead people
- Ability to mentor new employees
- Successfully uses problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Prior experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Be able to stand on feet for 7 hours/day
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of all food service equipment -operation, safety, cleaning and modified diets recommended
- Microsoft Excel and Word software competency
