Job Summary
Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while ensuring evidence-based practice within safe, efficient environments. Dynamically adjust staffing resources and roster nurses across clinics to ensure continuity of care in the Express Care Service and other locations. Manage all clinical services in the Cork Clinic, including performance management, mandatory training coordination, and overseeing clinical audits and incident reporting. Support service development initiatives and identify areas for improvement to prepare the unit for JCI accreditation. Maintain infection prevention protocols and promote patient-centered care through effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Active Registration in the General Division of NMBI
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience in acute general hospital settings
- At least 2 years in Emergency Nursing
- Managerial experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in clinical teaching or mentoring student nurses
- Ability to analyse, report, and drive improvements in nursing practice
- Strong strategic planning and relationship-building skills across complex healthcare environments
