Lead Night Shift Plant Maintenance

Job Summary
Conduct night shift plant maintenance at the Columbia West Quarry, including disassembling machines for repairs, inspecting equipment for wear, and lubricating parts per standards. Tend conveyors to move materials through production processes and perform welding or fabrication as needed. Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts, clean work areas, and notify supervisors of required repairs. Adhere to safety programs and proper personal protective equipment usage while working in an outdoor environment year-round. This role supports Martin Marietta's Magnesia Specialties business, which produces high-purity magnesia and dolomitic lime products used worldwide in environmental, industrial, and agricultural applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 4+ years related experience
- Valid US driver's license
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
