Job Summary
The Lead Network Engineer will architect, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Responsibilities include managing LAN/WAN design, network security, DNS, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate must possess a deep understanding of modern network architectures and have at least 10 years of experience in network engineering, alongside advanced certifications and strong protocol expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of network engineering and design experience supporting enterprise infrastructure
- Deep expertise in protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), firewalls, load balancers, SDN/SD-WAN, and cloud networking
- An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- An advanced networking certification (i.e., CCIE, JNCIE, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting secure environments
- Developing network diagrams and detailed design documents (DDDs)
