Lead Network Engineer

Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and remote locations, focusing on Cisco and Fortinet technologies. Engineer routing and switching environments including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS, while deploying Fortinet firewalls and SD-WAN solutions. Lead initiatives for SASE architectures, Zero Trust networking, and cloud connectivity, and design VXLAN/EVPN-based segmentation. Troubleshoot complex network performance issues and provide on-call support for incident response. Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure resilient connectivity. Requires 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience with advanced Cisco and Fortinet knowledge. On-site position requiring residence within the market area.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure roles
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco networking platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR)
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Switching technologies (VLANs, STP, port-channeling)
- Network security and segmentation principles
- Experience with SD-WAN deployments and operations
- Working knowledge of SASE concepts and cloud-integrated networking models
- Experience with VXLAN / EVPN architectures in data center environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across layered network environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant US based experience
- On-site position
- Must reside within the market area to be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Cisco certifications (CCNP or CCIE preferred)
- Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE 4 or higher preferred)
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid network architectures
- Experience with automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)
