• •Prepare, clean, adjust, inspect and maintain equipment

• •Operate head or body scanners to create a computer generated cross-sectional image of a patient's internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues
• •Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas
• •Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
• •Perform obstetric and gynecological scans, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization
• •Prepare patient and equipment for mammography procedure
• •Position patient throughout the procedures, adjusting immobilization devices for proper compression
• •Perform radiologic mammography exams, including screenings and diagnostic studies, and analysis
• •Participate in the performance of advanced mammography procedures such as stereostatic biopsies, clip placements, drainages
• •Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used for diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies
• •Use knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality scans
• •Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure
• •Start IVs and/or catheters effectively and consistently for the MRI process
• •Prepare, administer and monitor IV contrast and/or patient sedation and patient status
• •Ensure completion of screenings for pacemakers and other patient status affecting qualification for MRI
• •Perform radiographic procedures using both stationary and mobile radiographic equipment
• •Appropriate set up of the xray room and manipulation of equipment, and proper placement of patient for procedure
• •Ensure proper image capture of skeletal structure request for diagnosis and treatment purposes
• •Process and develop exposed xray film and create xray CD copies for review and interpretation
• •Perform sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomic data
• •Operate ultrasonic equipment to produce images of organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes
• •Utilize transabdominal technology to monitor patient or fetus health, detect or monitor tumors/cysts and diagnose cardiovascular conditions
• •Assist with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound guided biopsies and other guided procedures
• •Perform nuclear medicine procedures, demonstrating competence in performing invasive/interventional procedures
• •Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments
• •Operate imaging equipment and technology to track and record radiation with the patient's body, and prepare image reports
• •Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measures
• •Follow radiation safety guidelines and document radiopharmaceutical safe receipt, administration, storage, usage and disposal for regulatory compliance
• •Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• •Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, demonstrating ability to troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance
• •Assure the efficient operation of workflow of the department and monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of service
• •Participate in required training for compliance related activities (HIPAA, Compliance, Patient Safety, TJC, other regulatory bodies)
• •Participate and contribute to quality improvement processes and unit meetings/activities
• •Ensure that the examination results meet the facility standard for Quality Assurance before findings are released for interpretation
• •Provide oversight for the assessment of examinations performed within the facility for technical and image quality, and accuracy
• •Document any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or patient care and provide that information to the interpreting physician
• •Exercise responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of facility reports, database records and logs
• •Keep updated on the knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and imaging equipment
• •Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidenced based practice and research
• •Participate in the mentoring and education of technologists and students in assigned area
• •Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention
• •Work with peers and other health care providers
• •Participate in ongoing in-service and educational seminars
• •Assist with the orientation and training of new staff
• •Stay current and comply with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employees area of responsibility
• •Ensure all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates
• •Complete all company mandatory modules and required job specific training in the specified time frame
• •Report any safety related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool
• •Attend all safety related training programs
• •Perform work in a safe manner
• •Monitor work environment for possible safety issues and ensure others are also performing work in a safe manner
• •Associates of Applied Science or other Related Fields
• •Accredited MRI program
• •Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
• •Graduate of an accredited School of Ultrasonography
• •Fingerprint Clearance Card application number
• •Fingerprint Clearance Card
• •BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
• •Obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their department leader
• •Current Radiologic Technologist certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• •Arizona Department of Health Radiology Technologist license
• •ARRT CT
• •Experience which allows employee to receive AZ State license for CT
• •AZDHS Certified Radiologic Technologist and CT
• •Current registry as a Mammography Technologist
• •Meets ACR Certification criteria
• •AZDHS Mammography
• •Current ARRT registry in MRI
• •American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with at least two specialties
• •Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB)
• •American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N))
• •Minimum 3 years' experience in an acute care setting
• •Minimum 1 year experience in a team lead or supervisory role
• •Competence in using computers and basic software programs
