Job Summary
Lead MRI Technologist responsible for maintaining modality workflow, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety, mentoring MRI staff, and participating in protocol development and quality initiatives. Key duties include leadership in staffing and performance management, coordinating with Chief Tech and MRI Clinical Specialist on new protocols, ensuring adequate supplies, maintaining diagnostic image quality, administering contrast and pre/post-procedural care, ensuring proper patient identification, leveraging PACS/RIS systems, teaching and mentoring fellow MR Techs, and supporting department readiness and PI activities. Requires a background in Radiologic Science, ARRT MRI/Radiography credentials, and 3+ years MRI experience; the role emphasizes leadership, education, quality control, and hands-on technical excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Program Radiologic Science Required
- Minimum 3 years experience in MRI Required
- ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography
- ARRT-MR - ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support
- BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
