Job Summary
Lead MRI Technologist responsibilities include performing MRI procedures and altering imaging protocols at Radiologist request while supervising technical personnel and assigning call shifts. You will demonstrate leadership by interviewing applicants, providing orientation and in-service education, evaluating staff performance, and maintaining proper staffing levels. Daily duties involve monitoring patient conditions during scans, recording medical histories, and communicating with medical professionals regarding patient care. This role requires 40 scheduled weekly hours with days shifts, offering a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for full-time offers.
Required Qualifications
- MRI Registry from an accredited organization (ARRT), or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- State Licensure (unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Advanced MRI Registry (MR)
- 1 year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
- BLS Basic Life Support, American Heart Association (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH)
- 2 year' experience in MRI department in hospital setting
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR)
