Job Summary
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate Montessori-inspired curriculum and activities tailored to the needs and interests of infants, fostering their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development. Create a safe, nurturing, and organized environment that promotes exploration, discovery, and independence among infants, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. Observe each infant closely to understand their unique strengths, interests, and developmental milestones, and adapt teaching strategies and materials accordingly. Establish and maintain open, positive, and collaborative communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns or milestones. Work closely with assistant teachers and other staff members to coordinate daily activities, share observations, and collaborate on curriculum planning and implementation. Conduct ongoing assessments of infants' development and progress, documenting observations, milestones, and achievements in individualized portfolios or progress reports. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines, including safe sleep practices, proper sanitation procedures, and emergency preparedness protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year Daycare, pre-school, or K-12 Education
- CPR Certification
- DCF Child Care 45 hours
- In person work location

- Bachelor's
- Montessori experience
- Must be Montessori certified or be willing to enroll in a 0-3 certification program upon acceptance of job offer
