Job Summary
Oversee the Toolroom on site, ensuring all molds and tools remain fully functional to minimize downtime from tooling issues. Troubleshoot and perform repairs on tools when they go down, while maintaining tool refurbishment schedules and collaborating with the national engineering team for new tool development. Coordinate tool and mold maintenance schedules, manage tool room inventory and supply, and present cost-benefit analyses to management for mold process changes. Maintain specific standards for all built components. This full-time, direct hire role in Canton, NC requires 5+ years in toolmaking and plastic injection molding experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Toolmaking and Tool maintenance and repair work
- Experience with ownership over toolroom for production facility
- Experience in plastic injection molding
- Experience with planning and coordinating tool/mold maintenance schedules, handling inventory and supply management of tool room
- Ability to put together presentations to management for changes to molds and mold processes including cost benefit analysis
