Job Summary
Architect, design, and implement scalable, modular automation frameworks for mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms using Espresso and XCUITest. Establish parallel execution strategies, integrate frameworks with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and enable cloud-based test execution via Sauce Labs. Optimize pipelines for speed and stability while implementing comprehensive reporting, logging, and video recording mechanisms for failure analysis. Diagnose CI execution failures, device-specific issues, and intermittent automation problems through advanced debugging and troubleshooting capabilities. Mentor engineers on framework design, coding standards, and best practices while collaborating with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to align initiatives with release goals.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on mobile test automation
- Proven expertise in Android automation using Espresso
- Proven expertise in iOS automation using XCUITest
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin or Java for Android automation
- Strong programming skills in Swift or Objective-C for iOS automation development
- Hands-on experience designing scalable and maintainable mobile automation frameworks
- Experience working with cloud-based mobile testing platforms such as Sauce Labs
- Strong understanding of the mobile application lifecycle across Android and iOS environments
- Experience integrating automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve flaky tests, synchronization challenges, and device-specific automation issues
- Ability to design robust and scalable automation architectures for mobile applications
- Ability to implement stable locator strategies and synchronization mechanisms to eliminate flaky tests
- Ability to debug complex issues related to automation frameworks, CI pipelines, and mobile devices
- Ability to optimize test execution through parallel testing and infrastructure improvements
- Ability to mentor and guide automation engineers on framework design, coding standards, and automation best practices
- Ability to conduct technical design discussions and framework reviews
- Ability to drive continuous improvements in automation coverage, testing quality, and execution efficiency
