Job Summary
Greet members and guests, directing them to appropriate areas while articulating membership benefits and programming values. Process memberships, update contact information, take payments, and register individuals for programs using organizational software. Perform facility security by scanning members, verifying valid memberships, and screening prospects through the sexual abuse tool. Answer inquiries, maintain accurate cash and receipt records, and execute opening and closing procedures. Ensure compliance with policies, wear approved apparel, and provide cause-driven tours for prospective members.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard
- Hear noises and distress signals in the aquatic environment, including in the water and anywhere around the zone of responsibility
- Remain alert with no lapses of consciousness
- See and observe all sections of an assigned zone or area of responsibility
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge and skills preferred, ability to learn new software and new software applications quickly
- Excellent verbal communication skills preferred
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Enjoy working with and helping people with a friendly and positive demeanor
- Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus, but not a requirement
