Job Summary
Lead Medical Technologist at Centerpoint Medical Center overseeing laboratory personnel, providing technical leadership, coordinating daily activities, evaluating performance, and supervising preanalytic/analytic/postanalytic testing in Chemistry (Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Special Chemistry), with focus on quality control, safety, training, and data management; responsibilities include teaching clinical laboratory science students, training MLT/CLT and MT/CLS staff, and collaborating on performance improvement and method/instrument evaluation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science or related science required OR Bachelor degree & certification is subspecialty area
- Blood Bank experience required
- MT (ASCP)/CLS(NCA) or as appropriate, subspecialty certification such as C(ASCP) required
- 3 years’ experience in an accredited laboratory required, 2 years’ experience in the technical area preferred
- Hospital laboratory experience required
