Job Summary
Conduct daily pick-ups and deliveries of lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies while operating a hand-held scanning device to track items accurately. Safely transport materials across various routes in the location, including Box Truck routes where applicable, and perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections to maintain a clean, orderly vehicle. Assist Lead Logistics Service Reps with pre and post-route activities, communicate on the road during their shifts, and coordinate staging of materials for same-day or next-day routes. Monitor route and on-demand activity, assist with fleet preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures. Maintain daily communication with management and support new team members through classroom and on-the-road training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving history
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass initial and random background check and drug screen
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Collaborative work style, able to work well within and across departments
- Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions
