Job Summary
Lead Medical Biller responsible for Medicare NOEs, billing, posting payments, and accounts receivable collection; oversees monthly billing process administration; provides backup for AR functions; assists with general accounting and month-end close; requires High School diploma, CBCS/AAPC-CPC certification, 3+ years medical billing experience, CPT/ICD coding knowledge, insurance verification, and Texas driver’s license; preferred proficiency in EMR, Microsoft Office, and healthcare billing workflows; role located in Austin, TX with additional Spicewood, TX site, in-person execution.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Billing/Coding certification (e.g., CBCS, AAPC-CPC) required
- Minimum of three years’ experience in medical billing and collections
- Knowledge of hospice Medicare regulations
- Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD coding
- Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorizations
- Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and auto liability insurance and maintain a safe driving record
