Job Summary
Lead medical assistants to the team by scheduling staff assignments, training new hires, and serving as a clinical resource for providers. Manage clinic flow by prioritizing tasks to ensure timely patient visits and coordinate care by assisting with test result follow-ups. Conduct interviews for clinical hires and provide culturally sensitive education to patients. Maintain full-time, 40-hour day shift coverage with a minimum hourly rate of $30.92. This role supports UW Medicine Primary Care's mission to improve public health across the Puget Sound region through personalized, accessible care.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
