Job Summary
Lead the work of Executive Health Clinicians by escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, and expediting visits to maintain efficient patient flow. Serve as a role model and resource to clinical staff while providing training and orientation to all medical assistants. Monitor and evaluate policies to suggest operational changes, and assist practitioners with procedures including electrocardiograms, venipuncture, and immunizations. Prepare and stock exam rooms following disinfection protocols, manage vaccine and medication inventory, and ensure equipment and instruments are maintained. Adhere to office opening and closing procedures and respond to staff or operational issues as directed by the Practice Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for State of employment
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure in Illinois
- A Medical Assistant (MA) with current certification in one of the 5 eligible certification bodies: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- National Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) through the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- Strong computer skills
- Two (2) years relevant clinical experience
- Must meet one of the following requirements: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for State of employment, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure in Illinois, or A Medical Assistant (MA) with current certification in one of the 5 eligible certification bodies
- Must be able to complete an authorization and disclosure form for background check
