Job Summary
Lead the work of Executive Health Clinicians by facilitating efficient patient flow, escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, and documenting visit reasons. Train and orient new medical assistants, monitor policies for operational changes, and resolve staff issues under the Practice Manager's direction. Assist practitioners with procedures including electrocardiograms, venipuncture, and immunizations while maintaining clean, safe patient care areas and managing vaccine inventory. Serves as a role model to clinical staff, represents the work unit on organizational initiatives, and adheres to strict safety and compliance protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for State of employment
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure in Illinois
- A Medical Assistant (MA) with current certification in one of the 5 eligible certification bodies: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or National Registered C...
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- Strong computer skills
