Job Summary
Lead Medical Assistant role providing both direct patient care and leadership in clinical operations. Responsible for clinical tasks (vital signs, injections, specimen collection, blood draws, diagnostic tests), documenting in electronic medical records, maintaining examination rooms, and sterilizing equipment. Leads advanced administrative and operational processes, coordinates schedules, and oversees staff. Reports to Center Administrator and collaborates with Physicians and Nurses. Requires independent initiative and patient-facing duties, with TB screening participation and potential bilingual proficiency. Preferred: 3+ years MA experience in PCO centers and knowledge of value-based care concepts (HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, CAHPS/HOS). Bilingual English/Spanish ability preferred and must pass proficiency exam. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm; onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Required Qualifications
- Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through one of the organizations recognized by Conviva/Humana (AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA–Foreign Medical and Nurses Graduates, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA, MedCA, AMCA)
- Demonstrated experience in phlebotomy
- Experience with medication and vaccine administration
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a clinical setting
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Current CPR certification
- TB screening participation
