Job Summary
Oversee medication administration processes, train staff on best practices, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations. Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director to develop individualized care plans, monitor resident responses to medications, and report adverse effects. Maintain accurate records, conduct audits of storage and handling, and provide education to residents and families regarding medication management. Assist with daily self-administration and scheduling as needed while prioritizing resident independence and emotional support. Requires a valid state medication administration license, two years of caregiving experience, and willingness to participate in weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid state medication administration license (such as CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP) or meet the state requirements for medication administration in assisted living
- Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain
- At least two (2) years of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting
- Willingness to participate in weekend rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with memory care is preferred
