Job Summary
Lead Med-Tech oversees medication management in the assisted living and Memory Care community, providing leadership, training, and guidance to Medication Technicians and care staff. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments per physician orders and state regulations, ensuring accurate MAR documentation, monitoring for efficacy and side effects, reporting incidents, running daily medication compliance checks, coordinating with families and pharmacies, and ensuring audits and adherence to policies. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, state Medication Technician certification, CPR/First Aid, and 1–3 years’ experience with supervisory capability; flexible scheduling including weekends and on-call.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Medication Technician certification (state requirements)
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience as a Medication Technician in assisted living or similar setting
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
