Job Summary
Lead Mechanical Operations Engineer will support and lead the local data center site team on advanced mechanical engineering duties within the Mesa, AZ datacenter campus. Responsibilities include oversight of critical infrastructure and building mechanical systems (CRAH/CRAC, Chillers, Humidification, De-humidification, RTU, CDU, Water Purification), issue identification and RCA/remediation, coordination and oversight of maintenance and customer requests, system analysis and reporting, self-performing PM/CM activities per ECX standards, development and execution of MOPs, supervision of on-site subcontractors, and support of regional reporting and QBRs. Requires the ability to read single-line diagrams and engineering plans, strong experience with PM/EOP/SOP, and a track record of delivering timely results. Travel ~10%; onsite daily with primary location at Mesa, Arizona campus. EdgeConneX emphasizes inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing data center mechanical infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of service technicians focused in mechanical infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of data center mechanical systems (CRAH, CRAC, Chillers, Humidification/De-humidification, RTU, CDU, Water Purification)
- Ability to read and assess single line diagrams, technical manuals and engineering plans
- Experience with PM/CM activities and developing/executing MOPs
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to coordinate with regional teams
- Travel approximately 10% (domestic)
