Job Summary
The Lead Mechanical Engineer oversees mechanical and structural drafting and engineering functions, ensuring compliance with NQA-1 and NOG-1 standards. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, at least 3 years of related experience, and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in overhead crane manufacturing
- Five (5) year experience with AutoCAD or certification equivalent
- One (1) year experience in the fabrication industry and/or machine design preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of NQA-1 and NOG-1 compliance and requirements (preferred)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proficiency in project management and working with diverse teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Five (5) year experience with AutoCAD or certification equivalent
- One (1) year experience in the fabrication industry and/or machine design preferred
- Understanding of layer control and CAD templates
- Demonstrated ability to make good decisions for cost effective manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships at all levels
- Receptive to learn and advance in knowledge through critical feedback
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
