Job Summary
Lead the development of new high voltage dead-tank circuit breakers by providing expertise in arc interruption, dielectric, and power testing. Utilize ANSYS and other simulation software to define key design parameters for interrupters with a focus on alternative green gas technology. Prepare project updates for R&D leaders, collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet milestones, and design components ensuring manufacturability and cost effectiveness. Plan and oversee type tests per IEEE and IEC standards while taking ownership of existing products for technical support and issue resolution. Review and approve engineering drawings, ensure proper documentation, and execute action plans for assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high voltage product design, development and testing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Engineering position including experience with 3D CAD software (i.e. CREO, SolidWorks, Inventor)
