Job Summary
Design HVAC systems, air distribution, and chiller plants for healthcare, commercial, and mission-critical facilities. Independently support project teams through design and construction stages while integrating complex mechanical requirements into facility designs. Develop drawing and specification documents, select major equipment, and provide oversight of all mechanical disciplines including energy, controls, and fire protection. Coordinate with multi-discipline teams, vendors, and clients to maintain relationships and communicate engineering concepts. Mentor junior engineers and perform construction administration tasks. Requires a PE, 7+ years of experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis
- 7+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems for the high performing, commercial, industrial or healthcare facilities
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE), if eligible
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with applicable software including AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and other engineering analysis programs
- Knowledge of building, mechanical, energy codes and other design standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI, etc.)
- Candidate should be willing to travel to client sites as required
